HOW DID SAKURACO BEGIN
Our journey began in 2015, when we started sharing popular Japanese snacks and candy worldwide with our sister brand, TokyoTreat.
But because our CEO and founder, Ayumi Chikamoto always enjoyed a cup of afternoon tea with traditional Japanese sweets or wagashi, she wanted to share this aspect of Japanese culture worldwide as well. In 2021, she founded Sakuraco to do just that. But because our CEO and founder, Ayumi Chikamoto always enjoyed a cup of afternoon tea with traditional Japanese sweets or wagashi, she wanted to share this aspect of Japanese culture worldwide as well.
